Merry Christmas everyone!! Hopefully everyone was on the nice list and Santa was good to you!
For those of you who would like to recreate A pool day here at the Cochal hotel in Costa Rica, you should fill the tub with 80 degree water and then play this link https://youtu.be/mouA5vlWYmk on repeat. While I wouldn’t say the music is bad, I will say that it is starting to get old. They play that same play list repeatedly every day from breakfast to after we’re in for the night.
The live music tonight is a small local band that has a following in the area. I’m a little surprised it is not Hilda singing the Bossa Nova cover songs.
We took it sort of easy, Emily and I took a long walk this morning to Playa Portrero which is about three and a half miles away from here and had lunch at the Hemingway Cafe on the beach there. It seems a lot closer in the taxi ride back. We looked around the main drag there but we weren’t as impressed in person as when we did the drive though. There is more there, mostly hotels, rentals and adventure tours. More paved roadway. But there wasn’t much else, a few gyms and yoga studios associated with hotels there. Access to taxis. Originally we were going to see about the bus but we started walking and just ended up there.
When we were heading back to Brasilito we waited for a cab on the street. The cab driver was the exact same driver that picked us u last Monday, he remembered us. There was three other cabs that had passed by before he stopped. The ride back was so fast compared to our trip there!
We spent some time in the pool after we got back. I floated for a while in circles on the two boogie boards, it was very relaxing.
The deli/ bakery has five dollar brownies that we stopped and picked up on the way back for a Christmas treat, they’re worth five dollars!
